Wayne C. Thompson
Wayne C. Thompson, Prophet, Teacher, Spiritual Counselor, Electronic Broadcast Minister, Founder and Chairman of the Board of Fellowship of Faith Church International, Southwest Atlanta Christian Academy and Missions in Africa, India and Mexico, brother, husband, father and grandfather are titles used to describe who Wayne C. Thompson is.
He is an ordinary man who committed his life to the Lord and, in turn, has been graced with the vision, wisdom and strength of God to do extraordinary feats by the power of the Word of God.
He was born in Atlanta, Georgia and received his education there, attending Oglethorpe Elementary, Booker T. Washington High School, Morehouse College and Georgia State University. He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps for four years and was honorably discharged in 1961.
In 1969, Wayne C. Thompson Realty Company was formed and soon became one of the most powerful and successful residential and commercial real estate companies in Atlanta until 1974. The events during that year of recession led to great adversity and ultimately caused him to call upon the Lord.
In December, 1975, he accepted Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord of his life. Since then, the Lord not only has taught him the Word of God but inspired him to greater services. Pastor Wayne founded a church that ministers to several thousand people weekly; founded a Christian Academy that is fully accredited and trains children from six weeks old through the 12th grade; supports missions throughout the world; and takes the time to minister to members of his congregation and to those who need him.
He was married for 49 years, to the recently deceased Geraldine Gray Thompson, formerly of Memphis, Tennessee. Pastor Wayne resides in Fairburn, Georgia and has five children: Patrice Michelle Francis (Terry), Melanie Nicole, Samuel Wayne, Hannah Grace and Naomi Ruth, and six grandchildren, Jacob Cordell, Kai Alana Francis, Kenya Elise Francis, Michael Isaiah Francis, Joseph Ezekiel Francis, and Samuel Wayne.
